What about clipping something from a scale model kit. Perhaps something that looks like a clear cup or something. You can imbed the LED in it and secure it with silicone. Then you can glue the "light" to the inside of the body with the same clear silicone. Mount the battery and switch under the body hood. Same in the back. But you could either use a red plastic holder or put red film over it.
And I'm thinking of putting the paddles on all 4. Never tried it, so I don't know how it works. My only concern is if I'll lose a significant amount of steering with the paddles on the front.
