Used Slashes seem to be all the rage these days.

The difference with this one is I was the original builder 8 years ago. The truck has come full circle and this time I'm not letting go of it. It started out as a bling queen and even made Car Actions Readers Rides. Later it got trimmed down into a basher. Then I gave it away to one of my friends kids.

I told one of my friends I was interested in building a 10th scale basher and he said "I have a Slash you can just have". It took me a minute to take in what he just handed me.

5 bent driveshafts and a blown front end. The blown front end is a threaded cross pin that fell out. The plan is to turn it into a dirtpark/skatepark basher. Parts have been ordered.

ProBodyRC SCT beadle body.
Jconsepts LP body mounts.
And the list.

The first two pictures are of its original build.
The second two pictures are what it looks like now and pretty much what it looked like when I gave it away.
The rest are the parts I've ordered for its rebuild.

WOW! That thing is awesome! Can’t wait to see its transformation!
It's not going to be a bling queen like its original build. I want a 10th scale truck that's fast for what it is and I can beat on. When I'm done it's not going to be much to look at, but it will be fast and tough.

That blue body turning it into a skate park basher is interesting. Strange. I was just thinking about doing something like that not long ago with a buggy body I have in the stash. Looks like the cockpit was trimmed off the body with a screen in place covering the hole?

Glad you got the old girl back again. Like having an old friend come home again. Good luck on the "resto." Look forward to seeing the finish project. -AC

A monster Slash is four high yield shovels with a bucket in the middle. The vents on the grey Jconsepts cover are perfect for guiding the rocks into the chassis, the blue cover was my solution to that problem. I have an Unbreakable VW body on order that I'll be running the truck with. The idea behind having a round body is the truck will be more prone to rolling back on to its wheels when it flips.
