Radio rust, help pls!

So my kyosho perfex kt-2 has a bit of rust, in the place where you put the batteries, any solution? It doesn’t power on

If it was me, wire brush or sand paper, then a rub of some rubbing alcohol.

the coils or springs, I'm sure ebay or a radioshack type store.

It may be tough to get sand paper or anything down in the hole so I would try some rust remover and a Q-tip.

Rub it on, let it sit, then put some 99% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle and hose it out or buy some electrical contact cleaner. Try not to let your electronics sit for a long time with batteries in them.

Personally Id take it apart and use a wire brush on it. While it was apart Id inspect the rest of the internals.

the file is 160 grit the Q tip is 600grit either will work. the Q tip is stuck on with super glue the file can be purchased on amazon its a set of 10 all shapes. The file circle end is just under the AA battery diameter

Thank you, i didn’t let the batteries in for long, it must have been the previous owner because i got this at a market very cheap and was trying to restore it
