So i go to start up my rs4, and the servos dont work so i figure maybe i just left it on and the batterys are dead, so i change out the batterys and it still doesn't work so i try to zone out some things and find some corrosion from a puddle accident... and i clean it off nice and good and take apart the radio on the car and sand down the terminals and spray some special cleaner on the wire ends and i even tried a new servo to make sure it wasn't the servos.. they have been working for a few weeks after the puddle and all of the sudden it dont wanna work, could the crystals be broken? Anyone have any idea because I sure can't find the fix.

How about your switch, they notorious for getting moisture inside and corroding up. Try pluggin' your battery directly into the rx and see if all comes to life. If that don't work, it may be your rx took some water and is toast. But definitely go straight from batt to rx.

You might want to do a SEARCH on "waterproofing" here at RCNT. This issue has been talked about quite often in the past. A simple balloon could have saved ya $35...

I told ya not to take it out on the wet roads! :)

If your gonna take it out in rain/wet toads I suggest you do what ImBroken said. Actually do it anyway cause you know your gonna take it out in a puddle again.

Not laughing at you but laughing with you. Had my NTC3 out one day trying to do some quick tuning in the street. There was one puddle out there from me (I did a water change on my tank that day). Yeah ended up driving right through it, bye bye rx and the next race I lost my throttle servo too!

Hi there,

Which receiver is it? If it's the factory one or something along those lines (airt/sanwa am) PM me, I might be able to save you some of that $35...if it's fm though, let me apologize in advance because i don't have any spare FM's
