I have purchased a robitronics protus 1/8 buggy and am thinking about racing it but dont know what mods i should do before i go and take it down the track

I am already going to upgrade the radio to a ACOMS TECHNISPORT 2.4GHZ that i brough for my 1/10 buggy

Also any modifications that i need to make for easy pitting ect ect during the race?

I suggest running it for a bit so you can see how it handles and then get a feel for what you need.

i would see if you track has a open practice day and go spend sometime running it then see what you want to do from there

Tires, tires and more tires. Stock up on whatever tires work for your local tracks.
Buy some silicone diff fluids, 5k front, 7K center, 2 and 3k for the rear are pretty common setups that work.
Toe blocks for the rear, 3 degrees toe in in the rear on a buggy is the norm .A camber gauge.
Extra shock parts, A-arms, hubs and carriers.
Plenty of wheel bearings and CB bearings.
