Okay so i just found out that my LHS just finished up their indoor track for mini's and micros and now i think I am going to get into the races. What do I need to do to make it the most race ready possible? I want it to be strong and fast. Brushed or brushless? and whats a good quick charger for the batteries?

Well you'll definitely want spares parts at hand. You should also charge your battery packs before you racing, it's always good to have more than one battery pack.
If your LHS doesn't care what motor you can use for racing, definitely brushless. Novak and CC are the best. Can't help you on the fast charger though, I've always used a Piranha Digital Peak Charger for my batteries, not fast, but it gets the job done. It's never false-peaked me.

You need to go to the track or hobby shop and find out what class you'll be running in, what the motor and battery limits for that class are, things like that. Also find out what tires a lot of the guys are running, because chances are they're running them for a pretty good reason.
I think this is one of the best chargers out there for the money, and it's very inexpensive.
