Let me know what you think:

Basically it drops the input voltage down from 12v to 9.6v and 6v. The LM317Ts can handle a max current of 1.5A - of course you could use a LM338T (5A max) heh...

R2 and R4 have to be 240ohm resistors, while R1 = [(9.6*240 - 1.25)/1.25] = 1K8 resistor and R3 = [(6*240 - 1.25)/1.25] = 1K1 resistor.

I've marked '1A' on the PCB to note that the tracks are thick enough to handle a max of 1A safely. Also, the output current it defined by the input source :)

edit- slight mistake (yea I'm sleepy) and the pcb has been fixed (notice the board is a little too short on the right).

Updated - Changed the trace width to 40mills to handle 1A max current and the ports are like so:

12v - glow plug
12v - starter box bat
9.6v - Tx bat
6v - Rx bat.

Basically I own and run www.pcbideas.com :)

If any one is interested in this I will have 7 boards left of this first run - high quality PCBs too.

Basically this will look like an adaptor cable 2 wires to your charger and from this 4 pairs. With heat shrinking the pcb will look like a part of the cable :D

So yea, if ya want one lemme know...I'll be pricing them discounted for RCNT members @ $20.00 a board or $30.00 including 2x LM317Ts and 2x heatsinks.

Worldwide shipping will cost $5.00.

I will begin shipping these on the 1st of June.

The bad thing is I don't have a clue what it is? Is it a charger or something I add to my charger?

Its a schematic to a charger. If you follow his site you would get it!

Bsodmike- ARe you the one making the multilayer PCB? Do you own a stuffing house? I have quite a few here and quatitiy brings the cost down. I am thinking you do. Shoot us some pics of the finished product!

It is something you ad to your current charger, it simply allows you to charge all your batteries with one gadget rather than have 3 -4 chargers...

Yup the PCBs will be ready soon, I'm just busy with Uni. Once it is finished I'll be posting with pics of course :)

I followed the link and still have no clue LOL. I'm guessing from the pic on his site the pcb is a computer board...right. When it comes to pc's I'm lucky I can get on here and post. I have two chargers, both peak and charge nicad and nimh batteries up to 7 cells. So my question is can this improve my chargers? I hope this doesn't sound like I'm doubting you I'm just trying to understand.

Think of it as a cable management system rather than an actual charger. I.e. charge all your stuff from 1 charger. how you charger it, rate of charing all controlled by the actual 'source'! :)
