I just received the Axe R3 ESC in the mail today, and just like the 1080, it has an XT60 on it. I already had a swap done, on the 1080, which lead to other things, and eventually lead to my having an extension soldering in-line by HobbyTown, which I did not get around to using since this Axe set arrived before I got that far.
Anyhow, I was wondering, not knowing a lot about these connectors, would I be better off sticking with the XT60, having new connectors soldered onto my batteries, change out the ESC connector to an EC3, or simply buy an adapter that goes from EC3-M to XT60-F?
In case anyone is wondering, on top of the included fan on the new R3, the power cables for this ESC are also thicker than those on the 1080. The 1080 had 14G wire, and these are 10G, I assume because this ESC is now capable of up to 6S. It was in interesting thing I thought some may find interesting as well. As far as size, it appears to be the exact same size as the 1080, it is not a very big ESC at all.
