i have a 1600 battery pack for my nitro rustler. say it ran dead while bashing could the truck get stuck on WOT or will it just shut off? i have the regular tq radio setup. And if anyone would explain to me what failsafe is and how to get/install it would be great thanks.

It will not shut off if there's still fuel in the tank. You MUST put in a failsafe. It will sense the low battery power and return the throttle to idle where it won't run away from you.
I also recommend a throttle return spring just in case you lose all power.
