I finally got a new evx for the emaxx, got it installed and the truck moves! now my question is this.

on the nomadio i havent found a way to make it not 70/30 as opposed to 50/50 i got good throttle but the brakes are almost non existent. the reverse is slower then forward as well. at very low speeds the truck stops hard but with any speed it just kinda coasts to a stop. i had to set the throttle trim to like 30 in order for it not to move forward at center throttle.

could low batteries make the evx act funny? i tried setting the evx by the traxxas video but it doesn't act the same. its the older one so that may be the issue. i can't turn the evx on and off with the set button like the video, and holding it down gets a red light, green light, then let off and i get 3 blinks of red, then off. i do full throttle and no lights then the light turns back red and the evx goes back to regular usage.

could the nomadio transceiver be causing the issue?

help!

I'm not sure if i need to set the evx or if its nomadio settings that need adjustment.

on a side note, 4w steering is crazy!

thanks in advance.

Here is a link to the instructions that you need to program the original EVX esc they are way different then the EVX2 hope this helps it sounds like you are in mode 3 which only gives you 25% reverse and brakes you want to set it for program mode 1 which is one flashing light not 3...

thanks man ill check into it!!!

You should always have the mechanical linkages on the car set correctly before you make the adjustments on the radio.

huh??

With all the trim settings at zero, adjust the mechanical linkages on it as close as possible, and then tweak it with the radio settings.

EDIT: Ummm....this thread has nothing to do with end points or any other mechanical adjustments. "Never mind."
