Okay, so I got a Slash this past Friday and I didn't get to run it much the day I got it. Today, on the other hand, me and my youngest son took to the school parking lot. I bought two nickle cell batteries(DTXC146 7.2V 4200mAh NiHMs) for the slash and after an hour the one battery ran out! Also, this thing took a bit of a beating. Oh yeah, it has some battle scars and it seems to not want to quit. :celb2:

Just wondering, is it common for new batteries to last that long ? Also, is the Slash a bit tougher than most or am I being a bit easy on it? ie Fast runs sudden stops and reverse (I know going in reverse can be hard on it) going through some thick grass though keeping it wide open.... and such.
As far as what kind of punishment I did with it, well it ran into concrete curves a few times, rolled on the asphalt several times and has jumped off my steps into some grass a few times ( top of steps to bottom approx. 18").

Hyster,

Do you have the Slash ESC set to training mode? I've never heard two batteries lasting an hour. Usually 15 - 20mins each is the "norm".

I also have a slash and between my driving and what I've heard others say - yes the Slash does take a bit of a beating!

Honestly, I never adjusted the ESC so it may be on training mode. Is out of the box set to training?
