this is aimed towards the people out there that mod engines
i am currently setting up my work area to mod engines, for myself and friends..i have had an emgine modded before and when i got it back the sleeve and crank had a mirror finish to them..what kind of polishing compound do you guys use..and what kind of drill bit do you use to bore out the crank and at what rpm?
i am just wanting to do this since our season is over and i have nothig to do all winter long..any help will be greatly appreciated

Jeweler's rouge or a good quality polishing bar (find someone in your area that polished aluminum wheels) will get you that mirror image. As far as boring a crank goes you should really use a mill. You'd have a hard time using a hand held drill and a bit to accomplish this although it's not impossible.

thanks for the reply and the info..just didnt know how to get that mirror look..i was going to try mothers aluminum polish..but i will try to find the ones you listed..many thanks
