i picked up some nice Pro-Line All Terrain tires to replace the two tires i have in the front.i have the old tires off the stock Maximum ST rims.the question i have now is:

what is a good way to take off old tire material off from the rim? i was thinking using a dremel.

i got the CA glue,how would i go putting the new tire on the rim without getting the glue all over the tire?

u could use a dremel using a cutting disk, or boil the rims in hot scaulding water for 10-15 min and then the tire should pull off or buy new rims.

late

do a search there was a whole thing about this. i think they said to boil them and use a elastic band to hold them on while u glue them.

Boil tires for 20 minutes
Cut rims from tires. (If you don't want the rims)

As you can see there are several ways you can go about this. Doing a search for tire removal will give you more information.

cutting the rims from the tires wont do anything... he wants to re use the rims.. he has new tires. unless u mean cutting the tire from the rims?

i need to re-use the rim{stupid 14mm hex nut design on the back of the rim}

i took the old tires off the rim with a exacto knife.but their is rubber inside the bead of both of the rims.

yea, take a dremel with a cutting disk and shave away the excess rubber in the rim. unless u having a sanding attachment that would fit int he groove of the rim.

later

Just soak them in Acetone for 24 hours and the rubber will fall right off.
