Okay I have post about my frustrations on trying to get my acme nitro cranked up and idling just to break it in. I tried it again today and of course I have failed to keep it running for at least 10 seconds.
When I am finished trying I remove the fuel from the tank and remove the hose from the intake on the carb and place the cap used for the antenna and cover the hole. After that I crank it a few more times with the glow igniter on it for just hopes that I can burn the fuel out. After the hopeless cranking with no avail I take off the glow plug, put in three drops of after run oil in and in the air vent in the carb. Is there anything I could be doing wrong other than the fact I can't get it to run long enough to burn excess fuel?

Nope, sounds like you're doin just fine. You don't need to remove the fuel line. Otherwise, you're spot on!

My savage was pretty hard to keep running at first for sure I spent 2 whole days trying to figure it out. Hope you get it running soon. What I did was just set the idle up a small amount just to keep it running long enough for it to warm up. You could also heat it up with a hair dryer to get it to operating temp i found that helped also. Hope that helps. Keep at it! :D
