sawtoothrc.com has camera's for sale for the same amount with mounts to mount the camera to your ride. The range on those camera's are 1/2 mile which is good enough.

I am getting a custom mount for my nitro rustler and I will post the results as soon as they come in.

I have an Olympus D-380 Digital Camera (not best for video, but does take killer pics). Anyway, I have strapped it to my NTC3 trying to get some footage. The bad part was that the car went too fast for the camera to record.

The camera's recording speed was too slow when compared to the speed of my car (and I only had the stock .12 engine). It didn't turn out as good as I thought it would. So you should keep that in mind if you are trying to get high speed footage.

One cool thing that I really didn't realize until I started watching some of the footage, was that you will be surprised at how even the smallest rock looks really big when you get down to ground level with a 1/10 touring car.

a guy strapped one of these on a micro last winter at the local track,it made me feel dizzy when I watched it.everytime the car would take a corner the screen would just move so fast that it would make me feel sick. :puke:
I've also seen footage of one strapped to a model rocket, now that was cool to see.

I wonder if it would be possible to save the video directly onto a computer instead of having it save onto tape first? Say, bring your laptop to the bash with you and save footage while you are making the footage.

pretty cool little sample. definately would have to rig up some type of damping sytem though. the bounciness would give me a headache in a heartbeat.

Rig a set of shocks for the camera mount.
