Mikey, Wait till i get my swift, (OS RZVO1B).. HEHE.. nate

Glad ya got a deal on a Swifty and found us here. This IS THE SWIFT home. You will get alot of help here from the crew should ya need help. Heck, maybe you can be of help for some as well. I know you are seasoned in rc BUT........ When ya get yours, make sure you give it a GOOD twice over. Some don't like to keep em tight/adjusted and can give you headaches till YOU make it right. If you need any help just ask. I know you will like it's durability.

We gonna have to race heh heh heh.

I'm not sure Yago. I would have to say it won't, but then I'm not sure.

Well, i have known that NuovaFaor is going to produce thorsen diff and other option parts for the Swift.

Mannn your far away lol

I just looked to see how far your store/office is Roger and Cameron.

Sheesh..... 336 miles. I think you all need to move your store down here to L.A. so I can pester ya's. AND get a weekend job. heh heh heh.

I'm off to go get some new tires for this weekends race.

Ciao :smoke:

Ride height ma boy ride height.

ok, but the threaded collar is used to run the spring up and down on the shock body right?? Why is everyone running the collar down, and then putting a spacer between the coller and the top of the shock??? get what I'm saying??? Nate

Best places to buy parts ??

Okay gang,

Who knows where to buy Swift parts that ""HAS"" live help. Who is good and who is not good.

:boxing:

Funday Sunday finally breaks

Another fun day with the gang running on our track. But, "all good" at some point comes to a halt. Today I finally broke down after a dumb move off the flat top. Well ummmmmmm, I did a few bad jumps but it was so damm fun.

My boo boo today broke the left front outdrive and pulled BOTH steering knuckle balls through the knuckle. Darn Darn Darn Darn........... I asked my bud to get a photo when I jumped and he only got one shot on my 1st pass. It was nothing great cause I didn't push it. The next pass I ummmm, pushed it and got a bit excited and there was my mistake. All good though cause this is my 1st broken issue in about 5/6 Sundays of some hard ass playing. :)

Now I need to get some parts asap so I can be ready for next Sunday. I did notice that ALL my outdrives are so worn out I MUST replace them all as well as my left steering knuckle.

Anyways, I did have a crash that should have broken about 1/3 of my buggy cause I landed dead nutz on the front nose off the jump at WOT. I saw my buggy end over end over end about 4/5 times and nothing happend. I was sooooo darn lucky.

Anyone else run this weekend ??? If so, good/bad ??

See ya's

I Raced saturday night, but no the PRP since i havent gotten it yet.. (maybe Today (its 1:00AM monday, or tomorrow), I did fairly well, but i need more power, so thats where the swift comes in ,ehehahaha.. Also, if nobody carries parts where you live, you could always try some ofna ultra mbx pro knuckles and balls... was wondering myself if they would work... Nate

Did it arrive ????

MUAHAHAHAHAHAH, IT CAME TODAY!!!< This thing is sweeeeeeeet... I've got to shim the center diff (outdrives are a little wobbly, are yours like this??) but other than that, its ready to go, just need a starter box. HEHE.. nate

If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and read this entire thread. The help and information I've gotten from this forum has been invaluable and has helped me make my swift much more reliable, and faster.

There were about 120 swift kits that were shimmed and came with the new machined notch CVJ pins. The way to see if you got a updated kit is to look at the front of your swift box. There is a white frequency label with 2 dots next to the frequency number. If you have a frequency label that has 2 dots, that means that you got a updated swift and the kit has been shimmed.
All you need to do is break-in the motor and your ready to rumble in the jungle :smoke: .

I got the truck used, so its already broken in (os RZ), and its alerady been updated, but i have a question, i had the center diff apart a few minutes ago and there is a lot of metel dibris in there, i was also looking at the outdrives, HMM< HPI savage Heavy Duty Chrome outdrives look like they would fit... the Center Diff is completly ruined on this buggy, There is so much movement it has started to grind away at the outdrives ... So now I'm upset that i wont be able to run it until i can afford to order the parts.... guess ill be throwing everything (electronics and motor) back into the beat up ofna mbx until i can get the parts.....See youguys later... nate

hmmm, called prp today, they are sending me the parts to fix the problem, I'm a happy camper, hopefully they will be here friday so i can race friday night.... Nate

Congratts Nate.

PLEASE do this,,,,

Touch EVERY screw, nut, bolt, ect...... and make sure you have loc-tite on them... Most don't check for loose screws till something goes wrong. I can assure you that if it's tight,,, it will handel and take on alot of crashes during your runs. I know this comment is looked at as "this dude is stupid" but I know what I know and do my best not to have to buy parts or waste time when at the track saying....$#@!$#@!$#@!$#@!$#@!

Thanks PRP for helping Nate.

I've just got my Swift and it really is very impressive for the money.

I noticed a couple of things,

The front suspension upper arms are quite loose, the holes in the shock tower seem much bigger than the pivot pin size. Anyone else have this problem?

No front anti-roll bar, one shown in the manual so I was expecting to get one? The wire used on the rear one is really soft anyway so I'm going to see if I can get a Kyosho one to fit.

Also the front/rear diff out-drives are a different colour (lighter grey see photo) than the centre diff out-drives, does this mean that they are the hardened ones?

I have placed my order for a set of hardened shock towers, fuel splash guard, new bumper & upr arms. While I wait for these to come, I am going to start stripping it down!

Tim.
