just paid for mine today. hopefully it will be here within a week. I've read most of this thread already, and dont worry ill be addressing all known issues before it ever sees fuel. can't wait to play with a buggy. I've been running just about everything else out there for about 10 years now.

When you get your kit, look at the upper righthand corner and you'll find a white small frequency tag. If there is 2 small dots next to the frequency number, then your kit is all shimmed and has the new pins on all six CVJ's. Let me know.

i will look. you can try to see for yourself if you like. i bought it out of the classifieds on this board, there are pics included even a good one of the tag. got a heck of a deal. 275 for a basically unused car, upgraded servo, spare body, wheels, 2 reciever packs, and starter box. all i need to add is my spare reciever.

Good deal man, you'll love it. Just take care of the known issues just as you said and you'll be money. It's a great buggy, there's no question about that. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask... there is some great support in this forum.

Roger! What's the dillio man? Any good news for me (please)?

Warranty claim.

They are supposed to be in soon (god I hope so) so I'm not going to spend the money or time on that if the new ones are supposed to arive soon... but it doesn't seem that way, it's kind of forcing me to do something like that, I really don't want to though. Ugh... wish they were in. I really need to do something!

If I was shortening the mugen ones I would probably want it doing on a lathe rather than with a hacksaw.

I wonder if the mugen CVDs are shorter, obviating the need to cut down the outdrives?

I wish I had all of the parts side by side so I could compare... they can't be that far off... the rest of it is close enough to where you can usualy substitute parts if need be.

No, the entire off-set is different.. The CVD's are a little longer..

I already looked into changing everything when I had one.. The entire rear end would have to be changed in order for it to work.. The hubs off-set is also different..

It really sucks, but I'll tell ya your better off waiting for the hardened ones.. The Mugen Outdrives will work in the diff side, but like you said the outdrive comes out to far.. You'd need a good lathe to cut them down tru.. Then or you could drop some big cash changing the entire back end.. :whack:

Yeah, that's right... I forgot that you DID have all of the parts side by side to compare. The outdrives need to be addressed though, everyone knows that, just wish that there wasn't such a crazy holdup on it. I wonder what's going on in the world of PRP or Happytime...

We are trying our best to get the outdrives out for everybody. Its very hard to make everyone happy when a car is released because of diffs, outdrives issues, and pins. Again, all of these issues have been resolved and we are just waiting for things to happen at our main manufacturer in China. Trust me, even myself is getting a LITTLE IMPATIENT in regards to the outdrives. If I had the power to say, " Where in the hell are my hardened outdrives and send them to the u.s. NOW DAMIT ! " I would in a heartbeat. So I ask to be patient with me and hopefully soon, they will arrive.

As for the world of PRP/happytime, we got many projects coming out this year and its going to be busy with-in the next 4 months for all of us here at PRP. Our service will not change even though we have more than a few things coming out this year, I promise you that. We will still provide the best service we can offer to everyone we come in contact with via phone or in person.

Your the man Roger, I know you will take care of us... for that I thank you. I am sorry to get anxious... it's just a real problem on my car, don't feel like going to the lhs to pick up a set of soft outdrives that are going to do the same thing in another gallon or less of fuel, nothing against you... it just puts me in a sticky situation with trying to race the thing. I am getting a new mill here very shortly and am going to get serious with it, and I honestly think the WS7II is going to tear even bran new outdrives up in no time. Just sucks that's all... I know you will take care of business though, I really do, you've given me the best support out of anyone in any industry yet. I am very gratefull to have you on my side. Thank you.

I don't mean to get impatient, just shoot me a call, e-mail, or post to keep me up to date. Thank you again and hopefully I hear from you in the near future. Thanx Rog! I owe you a beer my friend :smoke:

For what it's worth, there are two new parts available here in the U.S.:

Part no. 11111P : "Low Drag Front Bumper" (I couldn't think of any other name!)
Part no. 11105P : Revised Front Upper A-Arm

The P is for Pro. Jose will be testing all the new shiny aluminum black parts for us soon, along with the new design knuckle arms and some new springs sets. Some of the aluminum parts and the new shocks need a little re-fitting, and we don't want to release them like that of course.

With luck, the pro kit will be available in less than two months. The box and most of the instructions are done already. Just waiting for the right parts, I guess.

With the outdrives, there have been a bunch that we (and I personally) have tested, some with outstanding results. Why the factory hasn't put them into production, I do not know...believe me when I say that I tried my best trying to explain how many people need them during the many meetings we had in China this past month. I think if I was 10 years older I might have had a heart attack. All I can say is that we in the U.S. are trying as hard as we can with what we are given. Sometimes that's not enough...

Thanks again for supporting us. Sometimes it's hard being the underdog!

To all:

I will keep everyone posted on the parts as soon as I get them. I also plan on posting pics, so keep checking back for updates. I should have the car complete by the end of next week.

Jose

That's gonna confuse the hell out of anyone who orders thru Schumacher in the UK. All the PRP parts distributed by Schumacher already have a "P" prefix, so they are going to have to look very carefully to see that P11111 and P11111P are in fact different parts.

Niggle,

I originally made part numbers for the Swift in August last year. The main factory in China decided to use their own numbering system sometime earlier this year (without telling anyone, I might add). I think Schumacher sells parts now using the factory's numbers, and not what we use in America. It's a big pain in the arse, I'm not sure why things changed. My numbers don't make sense to them, their numbers/letters don't make sense to me. Bluh.

For America, we'll still be using the old system of five digits with the occasional alpha suffix to indicate an upgrade part. Using my part numbers, you can tell how old the part is (we'd better be around in 10 years!). The forthcoming truggy, Raptor, and Concept X will use the same system if I have to poke my own eye out.
