WA2FAST: I use the kyosho plastic clutch with Mugen 1.0 springs. Hope this helps.

drkman07: Check out www.happytimehobby.com, and check out the car. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can help you out.

Thanx Jose.

I have a shock question... I think there may be something wrong with my rear engine side shock. The first time I ran the buggy to break it in on flat no bump pavement, the shock started to leak out of the top. I then went through and rebuilt all 4 shocks with the heavier fluid till the Kyosho parts came in stock. The next time I ran it, same thing, started leaking out of the top. I took it appart and same thing, no real reason for it, it was just leaking. Then All of the Kyosho parts came in stock (pistons, springs, and bladders) and I figured, well it was probibly the real soft stock bladder, I'm sure these will fix the problem. I ran it yesterday off road and it leaked again! Every single time I run the car, this one shock leaks out of the top. I know I'm not doing anything wrong because I have rebuilt tons of shocks in my time and I have had no problems with the other three. What do I need to do to possibly get it warrantied or looked at? Please let me know guys, becuase the shock is good for about a half tank, then you can see the big ol' wad of dirt packed around the base of the shock cap.

WA2FAST: It sounds like the problem is in the cap. First of all make sure than when you lower the collar to check the ride height, the shock cap is not loosening. If it isn't jus swap it with a shock cap in the front to see if the front shock leaks.

Let me know.

Thanks for the GS Storm bumper tip guys, I can't believe how easy the the required modifications were!

I bought a GS Storm front/rear bumper set and in fact it's the rear bumper that I have fitted to the front of my Swift at the moment. I'm saving the "real" front bumper for a future project.

I will check it out later and let you know Jose, thanx for the tip. I will let you know what I find.

niggle, good to hear you got it all taken care of with the front bumper, it really isn't too hard... you can see plain as day what needs to be done when you hold it up to the front. That's funny that you've got the rear fitted... never thought about that. I just kept it in my extra parts stock.

Well sorry to say, but the Swift is sold.. Good car, good price, but keep working the bugs out guys.. Keep up the good work ( PRP and ROGER )!!!

Car is just to new and needs some engineering changes.. Better parts not being available yet ( especially outdrives ), and that made me make the decision to sell.. I'm sure the Swift is going to rock in the future..:)

I bought a brand new Mugen MBX5 last week and I can say the Swift is VERY close, but the Mugen just has all the little tweaks here and there ( all the tweaks the Swift needs ) to make it a better buggy for high competitive racing.. Which the first MGR ( Michigan Gas Racers ) series was this past weekend, and my new Mugen walked way with the A-Main win for the first leg of the MGR series..:)

I might try the Swift again in the future, and you guys keep up the positive progress for the future of the Swift.. Nice meeting you all and I hope to talk or see you all sometime in the future.. Jose, I'm sure I'll be racing against ya in the future and good luck with your Team and your Swift.. I hope to see ya at the Kyosho Race in St.Louis..

L8R guys

Wow, didn't know you were going to get rid of it Jay. I understand though, for what you do, I understand because you don't have the stock pile of prototype parts that others have to make it more competitive. Take it easy and good luck with your new one in the future. That's awesome that you placed that well for the MGR series. Good work. Hopefully I will see you at the next one. Take care.

I'll miss ya bro :depress: . Call me sometimes and let me know how you're doing ( not just r/c related, life in general ).

Hey Jose... I rebuilt the shock again, this time setting the preload before I put the spring on (matched the shock on the other side) so that I could make sure that I wasn't loosening the cap when doing so. I put it all back together, we'll see how it goes today... hopefully I get to run it.

Cammeron, Can't wait for the truggy conversion!!!!!!

Now that since I must grow the wallet a lil', how soon do you believe it will be available.

I know I always bug you guys about this (sorry, I don't mean to be a pest):stick: but any word on the outdrives? Mine are awefull and I need new ones. I would really like NOT to buy another set of ones that I know will go bad in less than a gallon and buy something that will work. It's really hard when trying to be competitive with this thing. I love this buggy, but we need those outdrives bad. Now that Jay won't be bugging you about them, you'll have me beating down your door when they come in :egad: Thanx guys.

WA2FAST: Let me know how it goes on the shock. As far as the outdrives go call Roger, they may have the new ones in.
