Same here... are any of those parts available? Do you guys have any closer pictures of it? That would be a help too. Thanx guys. Jay... you get that shock fixed?

Wouldn't mind getting my hands on a front bumper or two, some A-arms, a splash guard and those outdrives.:breakdown

Not yet.. I cleaned up the monster yesterday and plan on doing the shock tonight..

Found out that the shocks can't take a rub from another 1/8 scale in the corner.. Bent shock shaft result.. Thats ok.. I got extras..

Yo Jose or Rog:

You guys ever seen a pivot ball pop out of the steering knuckle without breaking the knuckle?? Had it happen this weekend..

I replaced the knuckles with new ones after the pivot ball came out.. The new ones I put in look like updated ones cause they have a brass threaded sleeve inside the knuckle and the old ones don't.. Whats up with that?

Jay... where did you get all of your parts? You have a whole store's worth! Is the pivot ball another update to our Swift's?

The shock towers intrest me. What is the black material in the middle? Is is carbon fiber joined with aluminum??? MORE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the differences that I see are the springs (maybe the shocks all together), splash guard, carbon center diff brace, upper a-arms, front bumper, and possibly the shock towers... did I miss anything? I assume it will come with the hardened outdrives too.

You mentioned most of them, but you missed a few. The chassis is 7075 CNC and the steering rack. I think that's it.

The brass pieces are the old ones, but work alot better than the new ones. We don't know why they changed it in the first place ?? I had a steering knuckle come out on me at the US gas champs during practice. Gary told me to loosen the pivot nuts a little so there is little play. I did that and the knuckle didn't come off for the remaining of the race weekend :).

The shock towers are all anodized black but the edges are polished silver. We need more pictures........CAMS !!!!! Thats the first time I seen that picture. Looks nice Cams.

Steering rack I knew about, forgot to mention  but whats this about it being 7075 CNC... as opposed to ours... which is? (I thought that is what we had, please excuse my ignorance)

Any chance that you may know of where to get the "old ones" from for extra parts? If not, do you think that the MBX ones would fit? Reason I ask is that they look almost identical with the exception of the ball knuckle... the plastic comes down way further than on the Swift part.

Those shock towers look sick. Cameron... where the hell are you to where you can have pic's of this and Roger can't? :tophat: Are you still there at the factory? There are definitely some parts off of that baby that I need, that's for sure.

Any word on the outdrives Roger? Mine are getting nasty and I don't want to order another soft set right before the good sets are available...

My bad. The current one is 7075, but the new one is 5mm. The old chassis is 3.2mm. Thanks for catching that for me. Had too many beers this weekend and trying to recover  .

Nothing yet, they should coming the middle of this month.

Oh man! You and me both! 5mm as opposed to 3.2... that's pretty huge... I thought that ours was nice and sturdy. I also noticed from the pic (I enlarged it) that the chasis is black anodized and the splash guard looks to be one piece with the center brace... is this so, or does it just mount there? It definitely is attached there.

Gixer Jay has some eagle eyes. He noticed the top center brace. Looks at it carefully, its carbon fiber :ahh: . I didn't noticed that until he mentioned it too me

Black anodizing AND carbon-fibre. Neat. Very neat.

How does the armour-plated chassis plate compare with the original 3.2mm version for weight?

Are the suspension pivot pin braces also in black anodized alloy or are they still plastic?

Here's all the upgrades and changes on the car shown in the pictures: new machined 5mm 7075 shock towers, big bore 3.5mm shocks, machined 7075 suspension mounts with new notched pins, new lightweight diff casing, splash guard and bumper, carbon fiber center brace (separate piece from the splash guard), new bigger knuckle arms and pivot balls for more travel (and less popping out, supposedly), 7075 steering rack with updated ackerman, probably some more stuff I am forgetting. I think the new chassis is 3mm thick...it's a tad lighter and thinner than the stock chassis, but machined nearly the same way. 7075 is stiffer but heavier. We're still trying to find a source that can consistently make hardened outdrives, but they will be included if I have to chop someone's head off to do it. I'm also pushing for new sway bars and a slightly different body, but those are still up in the air. I don't have a price yet, but I can guarantee it won't be like a Kanai!

The car shown above will be taken to the Shanghai Toy & Hobby Show later this week for an official showing, but most everyone here got to see it first!

And yes, I'm still at the factory.

Ahem... that would me ME that mentioned that one!:wedgie:

Oh man, big upgrades, thanx for the pics cameron, thanx a ton. Yeah, the pics totally satisfy my curiosity about the center diff support and the splash guard... VERY nice. As far as the new pivot ball... I am interested in seeing how these work out. Do you guys have any idea if and or when any of these parts will be available? This is pretty huge. What about the front bumper? I bet it does fit better than my worked GS bumper :)

You guys rock... get those outdrives... man oh man do we all need them, trust me. Even the people that haven't mentioned it yet... they just don't know it... but their outdrives are all wearing fast.

I am not sure when the parts will be available...definitely at the same time as the Swift Pro kit though. My guess would be late June or early July, but I can't get a straight answer right now. Outdrives are a must, they've been a pain in the butt since the car has come out. The front bumper and splash guard we might be able to get a little sooner.

Here's another project that is slowly coming together:

Yeah... that's music to my ears... You're the man Cameron. The bumper and splash guard are definitely on my list of must have's from the swift-pro. Keep up the good work out there. Let us know when these parts will be available so that we can get our hands on them, I know I am going to order up quite a few items as mentioned above and some others. Oh, looking at that center brace... I totally need that too. The revised mount with the screws in the front portion make it much nicer than trying to screw around with lock nuts when mounting things like fuel filters and whatever else. That is a nice suddle revision that kind of pulls that center brace together well in my opinion. Good work guys. Make this stuff available!

That truck looks pretty sweet... throw some info on the happytime site about it.

That's the Protech Enigma, with Mugen MBX-5 front suspension. Long story behind the similarity of the two cars. The Enigma is made in Taiwan by a different company, I don't think many of the parts are compatible. sigh...

Yusa Model Co. I believe. Shame about the compatibility, the Protech Enigma stuff is widely available in mainland Europe.

Thanks for putting me straight before I wasted any money!

Cameron, will the new, improved steering knuckles, top arms and steering plate be distributed using new part #s?

Definitely in the U.S. I might have to smuggle some in with my baggage at this rate. I think Schumacher may be putting in an order soon, too.

Ugh... that car is unbeleivably close, too bad the parts aren't compatable... that would be really nice. Let us know when any of these parts will be available in the US.

Alright guys... making a trip to the LHS today and need some part numbers please. What clutch shoes are you guys running? I want to get a few sets while I am up there. Do you have part numbers for the Kyosho or Mugen parts? I have heard of people running the Mugen white with a certain spring... is this so? If so, can you please post some part numbers (for each just in case they don't have the other ones). Also, kind of dumb question... is there any kind of screw set or anything that someone sells that is just a bunch of different sizes and lengths... just so incase you break something, you don't have to run up to the hobby shop all of the time? I am going to pick up some shock parts so I can rebuild them if need be, I already have some extra A-Arms, going to get some c-clips, clutch shoes, clutch shoe springs... anything else you can think of that I should probibly get just to stock up a bit for when crap breaks?
