Aaron, you are a gentleman. I noticed that the e-clips had a habit of falling off when I was setting the car up on the kitchen table so I nipped them up with the pliers and bought a packet of shiny hardened stainless ones just in case. In typical fashion, none of the original ones have actually fallen off when running the car...

Lets hope the weather stays good for us this Bank Holiday weekend. Enjoy the truck mate.

Roger, any word on those outdrives? These things are starting to get worn and ovalized on mine... you have any idea as to when they may be ready to be shipped and/or any idea if there will be some sort of "upgrade" program available? Please let me know, I know you guys will take care of us.

Should be getting outdrives in by the middle of June.

:egad: ( hahahaha ). I can imagine that happening.

Well, purple, gray or the standard bronze finish.. Anything BUT blue or red.. Everything I see are either those two colors..

Haha! As soon as mid june runs around, you'll be like :boxing: fighting people off!

Yeah... as far as anodized parts... personally, I really like the titanium look that ours (us version) have already... looks flat out tight. If not, then maybe... um... gray or something like that... maybe like an earthy green color... kind of a light, ti-looking green or something. I don't know, don't really care... just babbling. I am a huge fan of the color that they are right now... my two cents.

Grey or black for the UK please!

Purple would be good too, that way if I can hide the credit card bill the wife will never know I've been upgrading the car.

That custom body on my swift is for sale, make me an offer. Can someone tell me if my setup is ok? Also, for loose dirt, what tires do you you recommend? Thanks.

What body are you talking about.. Can you post up a picture?? Sorry, I may have missed it if you already had..

For loose dirt I run Crime Fighters or Mug Shots both are from Pro-Line..

Hey... has anyone used their third channel for anything yet on the MX3 radio that it came with? Just curious... cause I have an idea that in theory would maybe be pretty cool... but not sure how to pull it off.

What clutch shoes???

Also... at the rate that my shoes are throwing crap everywhere on my chasis, I probibly want to think about getting new springs and shoes... what are you guys running? I know that the ones that the Swift came with are super soft... so obvoiusly there are better choices out there... what are you guys going with? Also, what about aluminum shoes... I hear they toast bearings or something because of heat, but grab like crazy. What are the feelings on these? Give me some advice guys. Thanx!:sheep:

I use the mugen seiki black shoes with the stock power racing springs. I've tried the white kyosho shoes and they didn't last that long because they are very soft. I've never tried the aluminum shoes, but I heard the same stories that you mentioned above.

The third channal is used for most monster trucks that have a reverse feature on them. I know that the Traxxas T-maxx uses this channal on all their monster trucks.

Right... monster trucks use them for the forward/reverse transmission.

As far as the shoes go... I think I will just stick with composite for now. Thanx for the advise.

Another thing... and this is really bothering me. Can someone show me a pic of a throttle return spring installed on our car please? I just picked up a new servo for the throttle (my HS-645MG was defective and luckily didn't start really freaking out and opening the throttle till I had ahold of the car) and it is super stiff... I ended up getting the HS-925MG... the super speed, high torque, coreless. It's a nice servo, real fast and is perfect for the throttle, but moving that thing manually is VERY difficlut. I installed an Associated spring from the screw that attaches the carb linkage to one of the center diff mounts and even when I was installing it, I thought that it was super tight and would possibly hinder the servos speed... but no, doesn't work at all! Even with the servo fully open, then turning the power off... the spring does nothing and it is still way stiff by hand to move it back to closed.

What to do here? I really need some help on this.

Here's what we have so far:

thanks rcnitrotalk!

I could do with one of those new front bumpers right now.
I managed to drive head-on into a "hidden" kerb yesterday, not at full speed thankfully.
The bumper cracked, sacrificing itself, but apart from that there was no other apparent damage. Impressed.
The front right driveshaft later cracked around the CVJ barrel and fell off, which may or may not have been related.
I've got a Storm bumper on order, but I've acquired another Swift which also needs a front bumper.

So the differences that I see are the springs (maybe the shocks all together), splash guard, carbon center diff brace, upper a-arms, front bumper, and possibly the shock towers... did I miss anything? I assume it will come with the hardened outdrives too.

Oh wow!!

I need to get my hands on a few parts off that car..

Rog, I'll be calling you later today!!:)
