Realistically, 240-260 F. Just make sure that you pay attention to the weather cause it can drastically change the proformance of ANY motor rather it be a SH, novarossi, sirio, etc......... And make sure that you communicate with your pitman well. What I usually do during my practice run before my qualifier, I run my car as if I'm racing it. Reason is because you want to be at your motor's temperature range. When you come in after those hot laps right before your qualifer, your pitman will get a better reading on what temperature your at. From that point, he/she can fine tune the engine by leaning or richening the carb. Hope this helps. Goodluck and make me proud :thumbsup:

Alright... I re-did my rear shocks... good god what a difference!:thumbup: Man, I can't beleive how much better it is, no more bottoming out at a 3" drop, MUCH more control, the shocks are actually shocks now! That combo that you guys put on here is an awesome one! The Kyosho pistons, diaphrams, and springs. Money on these shocks. Thanx guys. Now I am just waiting for my other pistons to come in so that I can do the fronts.

Seen some 1:10 electric drift cars advertised in Racer magazine. They seem to be cheap RTR electric cars with stereotypical riced up bodyshells and some rubber/plastic "drift rings" to slip over the tyres to reduce grip.
For the buggy, excessive shock spring pre-load and cheap block-pattern tyres on damp concrete is a good place to start.

The good guys ditch rubber tyres altogether and run on PVC pipe cut to the width of the wheel which is then pushed over the wheel.
i.e. PVC 'tyres'
This is the equivalent of ice rallycross but on tarmac.
BUT, getting back to the Swift, looks like you guys have come up with the dream ticket concerning the shocks.

One of my (not quite so L) LHS (where I bought the Swift from) is huge and carries TONS of parts for just about anything. They had all but the shock oil (they were out of 35 &40) and they only had one set of pistons. I went up to my other LHS that is right here by the office and picked up the assembly lube for the O-Rings and shock oil. I tried sizing up the pistons with an OFNA part that was real close, but it wasn't quite right, so I decided to just order another set of pistons. I guess I will just do the fronts when they come in. I don't want to wait though because I am excited to see how the fronts end up now that I have seen what a night and day difference it made on the back!

Yeah... we seriously need our own forum or something. If you haven't been in this thread from the begining, some people kind of get lost. It would be nice to have a sub-forum off of 1/8 Buggy or something for PRP or for SWIFT. Who knows if that'll ever happen though, probibly won't since every single car/truck/buggy will want one if we get one. :\

Haha, never paid attention to where you are from. Yeah, Larry's, but that's the one that is on the East side... that's a hike for me. From work it isn't too bad, but still a hike. The local one that's close to the office is Rider's that is pretty much at 14 & I-75 (13 1/2 & John. R).
Alright... at lunch, I went back up to Larry's (they love me up there... I'm there like every day at lunch now) and picked up a set of MBX4 upper arms and Mugen shock boots. Now I'm just short the pistons and I'll completely do the front shocks.

Larry's is the best place to buy all the stuff you need.. I've told all those guys and Larry himself all about the Swift's they're trying to sell and all the parts they need to have in stock for the car..
Funny thing is I bought the first two packs of pistons and I knew they only had one set left in stock.. I told'em though..LOL
So are you gonna run the MGR ( Michigan Gas Racers ) series?? If you are your more than welcome to pit with me in the Swift pits..

Oh man... super short notice... I still haven't done my front shocks yet and I still need to work on a few little things here and there (one being polishing off the tune on the engine)... let me see how much I can get done on it over the next couple of days and I will let you know. Thank you very much for the open invitation and offer to pit with you. That would be awesome! I will do my best to see if I can get things wrapped up. I'll let you know.
