First step to prolonging tire life? Spell it right! TIRE!!!!!!

But wait, what if I’m the one who’s spelling it wrong?!??! How to know.

Maybe a fun fact for the fact thread? How Tyre/tire is spelled?

In 25 years I’ve only had 1 set of tires dry rot. Never doing anything to preserve them other than washing to put way til next play time. With the exception of a few race tire sets I put in zip lock bags just to keep control of. It was a set of factory Losi Mini LST tires. I custom fitted to a set of Duratrax Mini Quake rims. All of mine have been keep inside at room temperature if that makes a lot of difference or not. My problem is the foam inserts turn to dust and soon as u use the tires hard and the tire rips.

Hard to tell from pics unless u zoom in. It looks like the way tires were made. But they cracked all the way across. Only tires I’ve ever had to do that

Are they still soft?

I had a set of tires harden and crack. OLD OLD though. Aristocrat Kangaroo old.

Lol! For its price point, it actually was not a bad buggy but it wasn't great either.
I still have it in a box somewhere with the parts to fix the broken suspension.
Someday maybe I'll get around to replacing those tires too.
