Hey Guys,

I am so happy I can't hardly contain myself. I finally found a 23mm socket for the 23mm Proline adapters for my Tmaxx. The socket I found at Lowes and it cost me about 6 bucks! It works like a champ and I can finally run my Maxx with the new adapters. Pronline not only wants $30 for there aluminum wrench with there name on it, they didn't even make enough to supply the demand. My LHS, and Tower tell me that they won't even get any in until maybe mid July! I love Proline stuff, it is good quality, and the 23mm adapters were a great idea. It just sucked that they picked a nut size that is hard to find, and I am sure they did it so that they could charge big bucks for a wrench with there name on it. Marketing did there homework! Not only did I get the socket for $6, it is guarnateed for life. Proline doesn't do that. On this particular case, Proline can SUCK MY ASS!

Sincerely,

Tom

its also a great speed shop for 1:1 cars too.

mmmhmmm..I've made several ram air kits using materials out of the appliance section.

If i remember correctly 23mm is just over 7/8"...that socket would work too.

Man, I just made it my mission to find a solution other than buying an overpriced piece of aluminum. When I looked at, and subsequently ordered the adapters, I knew that 23mm was large and would need a different wrench but nowhere on Prolines description of the part said a different wrench would be required. I just figured it would come with the wrench it needed. When I got them and found out this was not the case, it pissed me off. I mean here I was with a new part that would make my truck better, and couldn't use it. Then once I found out that Proline made the wrench, I was like, cool... I can just buy it and everything will be ok. I found out it cost $30 and I went through the roof. I was not paying for a $30 piece of blue aluminum, and they were backordered to boot! So I figured I would just get a socket and all would be well. Well, it took me almost a month and a half of looking before I actually found a 23mm socket, which by the way is a really hard one to find, and usually only found in 1/2" drive. Anywho, Proline did there homework when they came up with this design. Well I don't have to worry about it anymore thank god. I just have to be careful not to over tighten with the half inch setup. I just wasn't going to give Proline the satisfaction of giving them more money than I already give em.

You know I looked for the Standard to metric conversion, but was unable to. Maybe I wasn't searching right. Anyway, thanks for the info!

You know I tried Sears for the 23mm socket and they didn't have it or were sold out.... probably the latter, but I was not sure, nor could anyone at Sears tell me what standard size socket would work in the 23mm place. Thank you for the help my friend.
