Chris,
I saw the newest pics of your CyberMaxx.
A word of caution.
use a roto tool around the roll cage and smooth the the sharp edges everywhere the antenna tube can touch. Place Fuel line over the antenna tube from the base to 1 inch above the cage.

I have managed to cut my antenna wire 2 time in the last week due to rollovers. Tucking the antenna wire inside the cage seems to limit the range severally.

Looking good.

----------------------------

You may also want to reverse the servo-saver to the opposite side.
This will do 2 things:
1 - Shorten / strengthen the connecting rod. (use the steering servo rod from the XXX-NT.)

2 - Allow you to easily replace the front drive shaft. (You will do this often)

As to replacing the drive-shafts, Cut about 1/16 th from the iner tube of drive shafts front and rear, so they can be collapsed and replaced from underneath without having to remove additional parts.

Thanks for the tips Eddy! I have been perplexed about the antenna as well.

I made the cuts on the internal sliders already but may have to pull them again due to a binding issue of the outside rear being a hair too long. Also, I'm having a custom set made for the centers. I will just use the Dynamite cups and the new shafts. Depending how well they hold I will let you know.....

I used ball ends on the servo saver and ball cups for EASY removal so I'm not too worried about dropping it out. I also used 3mm balls on the rear for the turnbuckles that connect to the bulkheads. If you are ever wonderring, Tamiya makes the balls (most peeps can't find these)

I lined up my roto-start on it last night and didnt have any issues with it lining up and touching anything. What did you mean?

Yes! I use the roto start on my Savage and it works GREAT! I blew one motor in the unit itself, but, they replaced it free and I put in a better one anyhow. The nice part is, you can use a drill too.

So far so good.

Someone else mentioned though, if the engine fails, and you are far away from your 'pit' area, you either have to lug around a heavy starter or a drill.

Hey fellas, I got to see Chris' Cybermaxx at the LHS today. Very cool, very large!! It should look sweet in action.

yeah yeah I saw Ed's months ago so your not cool. J/K they are awesome arent they! They both did an awesome job on the Cybers and I'm just plain jealous.

do u guys like the Picco .26 engine? i am thinking about getting one of them.

bryan

Hell Yeah! For the price, it has a lot of power!

There is one drawback that I have found so far, and that is the tuning aspect. It is not for the light hearted. But, once you get there, it is all worth it.

;)

alright then, i have the XTM 24.7 engine. i love it but i want something a little bit bigger. it is huge tho. but i still want the Picco .26. by the way do u have one that i might be able to buy from u? or anyone u know of for a resonable price.

bryan

Ill ask around. My LHS has not had them on the shelf for a while now. Seems as soon as they get them, they are gone. I will check tomorrow.

Someone had posted a link a while back to someone selling them for around 155, which is a good price.

D0 a search here for the .26 and you might luck out and find it.

Well after seeing the specs on the new O.S. engine I may in fact sell one of mine. I have to kick this one around a bit.

I will check with the LHS today on the .26

:banana:do you think that the center drive shafts from an xtm 247 kit will work as extended center shafts in the cyber maxx kit?:ponder:?:ponder:?

No idea - I would have to have them in hand to find out.

Maybe I can get the LHS to work with me on that one.

No, the xtm drivelines won't fit. The cybermaxx is apparently the ony extended chassis that splits the extra length between the front and rear, everyone else adds the extra length to the rear. MIP and I heard Dynamite too will make custom dog bones, but it is around $50.

We are working hard on a OEM deal for cyber drivelines, and I should know something within a couple days. Another option is to run your engine on rubbing alcohol and olive oil, thus reducing that damaging top-end horespower.
