thank you......also will a cyber maxx roll cage fit my car? how much do they go for? I also hear alot about upgrading the bulkheads? where can i find a good set? Anythign else I'm missing?

Integy makes a nice inexpensive set of bulkheads. Although, unlimted engineering makes a captured hingepin bulk setup for the hardcore basher. I get along ok with integy's though. At half the cost.

The roll cage is around $104.

Here's thier site. you have to manually scroll through the products though. You'll see the bulks i'm talking about and some other stuff. A lot of guys swear by UE's products. I am not fortunate enough to have anything of thiers yet though.

Here's integy's. They have pretty good prices on all of thier maxx stuff. This is where i buy most of my aluminum bits.

The cyber maxx should fit, if it's a maxx that is. I'm not 100% sure if it fits the old style, i don't know if there are any dimentional differences other than the arms between old maxx and 2.5 maxx.

I'm sure you can either find your answer here, or email UE directly.

Sup guys,

Damn it's to early to be in the office getting paid to phuck around on the net.

XXX - MOst people will swear by anything UE makes. My only complaint is their prices can get rediuculous. Now's a good time to buy UE stuff as he has allot on sale to some extent. I've spent at least $475 on parts for my mean Maxx rebuild on UE's site in the past month...lol.

You said your going to be running RPM arms..right? I would get the Alluminum bulkheads from Rc Solutions that use their steel hingpin design. They'll run you the same or less then INtegy and they should decrease the chance of bending hinge pins. I'd be buying the same bulkheads but I'm gonna be running expensive UE Allum arms on my Maxx and Allum arms on Allum bulks is a recipe for disaster IMO.

EDIT - Morning Olds....eerr evening maybe bro..lol.

Peace

After a long discussion with xxh0lywarsxx, his objective is to get the best possible parts on a budget. I respect this and will keep my eye out for some great deals. Its easy for us to forget that not everyone has a endless wallet for toys (like some of us lucky folks) but still understand the value if quality parts.

Dig in your boxes, look on the net, lets try to help him get a Baddass Maxx up and going for a good price.

When posting parts and info keep this in mind as well as value V/ strength.

Morning Eddy....

Yeah, I forget that some people would rather spend $2500 on a real car...those crazy bastards..hehe. MR XXX needs a bad ass Maxx on a budget eeerr the best price to performance ratio.....eh.

What kind of lower braces does he have eerr want to get?? I've seen a bunch of nice ALluminum braces in 6061 (plenty strong and light for that purpose) on various web sites on sale.

Peace

Nope, morning. At work.

I just realized, that when i said UE i meant RC-Solutions throughout my post.

Sorry about that. UE makes a bulkless system that's pretty cool, but damn is it expensive.

As for RC-Solutions, thier captured bulks are $60 a set while integy's are $29 for standard and $36 for heavy duty. I have had the standard ones, they were good to me.

I ended up replacing them whith ACNCM just to see what their product quality was. I never re-installed the integy's. Actually, a friend borrowed them and is still useing them.

Thats for all your help guys.......yea making 60 bucks a week blows dogs for quarters, i really apreciate your enthusiasm and help.......if anyone is in the same situation like olds where they have a good set of somethign and bout another to check it out and doesn't need the original and its in good shape ill gladley take it off your hands......i have some cash as well as trades..

Paul

Check out the sales forum. You can sometimes find good stuff at low prices or trades.

ACNCM's bulks are cheap in price and kind of low on quality. By quality, i mean they aren't all shiny with smooth corners. It's very obvious that they are making them for the bashers and not the guys who care so much about looks. I like them for durability sake. My truck looks like Sh$$ anyway. So, what do i care.

But they are $25 a set with hingepins. I can't remember if integy's come with hingepins or not, but you do need a set if you go aluminum regardless.

thats cool i was looking to convert to the wider suspension and from what i understand i have to get.......cvd's and new center dirve shafts, and arms? am i missing anyhting with the conversion?

I was looking at lunsfurd titanium hinge pin set and blue rpm arms all around, it would be great if i can find them used, time isnt a factor here i think i can deal with the narrow suspension setup first I'm going to replace the slipper, diffs, and tranny then worry abotu the rest.

Is it also good to invest in new steering blocks?

I don't think center drive shafts are needed unless your doing a 21 conversion. Just the wheel cvd's.

All the conversion is (i think) is an extension of the arms, nothing else. This would require the wheel axles, arms and turnbuckles.

thats wierd......some one suggested to me a part number 4949x for my weak link, this is the plastic drive shaft and it says that it will not fit the old style maxx thats y i think there is a differnt senter drive? correct me if I'm wrong.

woooohoooooo i found em i have to get the long half shafts for the older type. soo i geuss i do need to change the center drive components for the wide maxx setup

alrighty i got a second maxx in a trade for my electric touring car setup but it came without an engine......what do you guys recomend for a direct drop in for around 120 bucks

Eddy i dont know if your reading this but I have your money and now it just weather i get py friend to paypal you or have to send a money order.
