Okay guys, this may be a stupid question, but how do you program/change the setting on the Mamba Monster? i have the castle link cable but the monster case does not have a programming port. do you use the optional servo lead programming thingy??

HELP i have the afternoon off and want to take advantage of the down time.

thanks

Gabe

thanks...good thing i had it for my micros...it would have sucked losing the day driving back and forth.

need help with gllitch

so following up on this conversion/thread...

I swapped out the stock motor and ESC and dropped in the Mamba Monster motor/esc combo and now i have a weird intermittent glitch. It seems like it wants to drop my radio connection and causes the truck to jerk forward to the right.

I’m still using the stock radio gear since I don’t have a Y connector to run both servos into my spectrum radio but before the change the radio worked fine and had pretty good range...upwards of 100yards. Now if I get more close to 50-60 yards away its gets all twitchy. I'm using LOSI 5k 20C Lipos and had the LHS work up a Y connector for the dual battery need with deans.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Oh I also heard a weird grinding noise when I brought the truck in to shut it down. The spur/pinion mesh is fine and shows no damage and the rear diff does functions properly and smooth.

i was reading on how brushless motors work, and they have a lot more amps going through the wires than regular motors. i wish i had the link for you, i'm having a similar problem, the article i read said to keep your antenna wire as far away from your esc/motor wires as possible. and make sure your antenna tube is long and hasn't been cut. the electricity traveling from the esc to the motor is a lot more than that of a brushedmotor and can cause interfearence. if it keeps up i recomend a better radio/servos

thanks XDoug but i have not changed anything in terms of the antenna so i dont think thats it, but i'll swap out the shorter antenna tube and fully extend the antenna to see if that solves the glitch.

anyone else have any thoughts?

what i'm saying is the electricity going through the wires in a brushless setup causes more interfearence than a regular brushed esc.
