I bought a jato 3.3 off of a friend. I replaced the glow plug in it but my ez start is not lighting up for the plug. what should i do?

Its a common issue with the ignitor going out on the wand and most guys just ditch the blue and yellow wires and use a glow ignitor with the starter separately. But before you do that just remove the plug and make sure its good. If you dont have an ignitor to test it just get a new glow plug and try that. Also make sure your yellow wire is grounded to the engine block at one of the bolts and the blue wire is connected to the plug. Those are the two wires that glow the plug with the starter wand.

use a glow ignitor, your plug may still get hot, but the EZ start can be squirelly at times. Its good to use a glow ignitor specially on cold days when your engine will take a bit to warm up. Just leave that ingnitor on there while it warms up to ensure it dosent die on you. It can be handy so you dont have to hold down the button on the easy start for ever to heat the plug up. Even on 80 degree day, I still let it warm up for a minute or two, coldreving will tear your sleeve up. I really only like the EZ start because you dont have to work around the body to start your car. An

check your yellow wire and make sure it has a good ground, check your blue wire and make sure it has no cracks/breaks. or ditch them both and get a glow plug ignitor!
