here's the scoop.

HSP brushless setup, Eurgle 2.5ghz controller.

I have a "learners" mode, which has the E Point set to 10%.

however, at 10% the reverse would only work very rarely.

the throttle settings were reversed on the controller, so I changed that, and swapped the wires on the motor.

now, of course, forward doesn't work, and when it does, it only seems to work at full throttle, and its about 1/2 the speed of reverse, even though both are set to 10%

so, why is one direction "faster" than the other?

the throttle arc is set linear.

thankyou.

I would swap your wires back and take off the learners mode. That will let the buggy run as it actually should. It is not uncommon for it to be a bit slower in reverse than forward. I have mine set-up that way on purpose. Give it a shot and see what happens.

yeah, I swapped it all back.

but its annoying that you can drive it forwards with the e point at 15%, but reverse is useless! sometimes works, sometimes does nothing.

the other issue is, that even when you want it in "full" mode (which only requires the e point at 70%) if you want a slower reverse, say 40%, it still doesn't work properly...

What battery are you using?

I have an 11.1v 2200mah lipo, 11.1v 3800mah lipo, and two 7.4v 3800mah lipos..

the annoying this is, that the brakes don't work all the time!

sometimes it'll instantly go into reverse, other time it'll lock, then delay reverse, and other times, it seems to do nothing.

Have you tried setting all of your EPA's to 100%, I'd try that and taking it off of learners mode, and I'd have to guess that you ment to say 2.4ghz radio not 2.5ghz, I could not really find any info on your ESC either, who makes it? and do you have a instruction manual for the ESC or the Radio?
