Yesterday afternoon I took my revo to a track about 30 minutes from my house. I ran a couple of tanks then broke the right front a arm. So I bought a new a arm and fitted it last night.

Now today I take the truck to this church parking lot across the street. I start it up and it immediately went to full throttle. So i popped the air filter off and looked at the carb, everything seems to be normal. So I put the air filter back on and tried to start it again and the same thing happened. I pinched the fuel line and packed it up.

What would cause this?

Yesterday the truck ran great.

Please help me.

Ok I see the problem now. the throttle is sticking at about 1/2 open after giving it full throttle. What can I do to correct this?

Is your throttle servo ok. And is the throttle return spring still there. Sometime the springs will snap and that could be causing your truck to stick at wot.

spring is still there, Maybe its just not strong enough?

Ill post pics give me a minute.

wide open

after letting go

brake applied

I notice that with the break applied all the way the servo head is hitting and pushing the metal bar that connects to the throttle linkage at the engine.

a few days ago I took the carb off and sealed it with rvt. Maybe I didn't put something back together right.

if its sticking it could be in your carb. try manually opening and closing your carb and see what happens.

On my car, if the throttle is trimmed to where the (thing that connects the servo to the throttle linkage) isn't pressing a little on the spring at idle, then the carb will stick open with about a 1.5mm gap.

(I put the above text in parenthesis to show where my description starts and ends, since I don't know what it's called.)

Ok I took the linkage that connects to the carb off. with my finger I can open and close the carb with ease. I noticed that if i leave the screw that holds the linkage to the carb loose The spring will return the throttle to where it should be. I also noticed that the spring seems to have plenty of torque.

Now In the third picture above (if you can tell) when the break is fully applied the head of the servo pushes against the silver bar that connects the servo to the carb. This is not normal right?

Should I try removing the carb and rotating it slightly?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a combo of rotating the carb so it operates smoothly and then adjusting the connections at the servo. It should al look and work right with out any binding or sticking...then give it a test.

Ok I got the throttle not to stick anymore. However when the brake is applied the servo head is still hitting the silver bar that connects to the linkage at the carb.

can a revo 3.3 owner let me know if this is normal. Its in the 3rd pic above.

Thanks alot guys.

No its not i have a 2.5 but same difference. Mine does it to but when i apply the brakes mine dies so i just leaned to drive with no brakes. lmao.

what would cause the servo head to bump the silver rod? Would the position of the carb affect this?

I just got lost in what your trying to ask. Are you talking about the servo horn?
