Some fuel seapage is normal from the front bearing, especially if the tune is rich.
Double check that the shims are not stuck to the sleeve or on the button. Sometimes they are the same color as the head button, you won't notice them if you don't know what to look for.
if it runs fine with the stock head, then the bearing is not your issue.
Did you buy this engine new or was it used? How much use does it have? I really don't care much for Associated engines, they are usually made by Thunder Tiger. They make terrible land r/c engines.
Don't waste another dime on that engine. Run it til it won't run anymore and throw it away. Buy an LRP .30 for it. That is not made by Thunder Tiger even though Associated/LRP distributes them.
