I'm having a problem with my epic motor. I think the brush springs are wore out but i dont know. there is hardly any power and it wont start rolling unless i give it a "push". Also i have a slow titain motor that doesn't reach peak rpms... give any tips or advise. Thank you:)

does it happen right away or after you've run it for a little while?

If it's starting to happen after a little bit of running it might be getting too hot. Which means you may have it geared bad. I had that happen to one of my micros. The motor was getting too hot. I made a pinion change and problem went away.

Tried that

i tried that because i stripped a tranny gear so i am running a 23 tooth pinion, and a 90 tooth spur. I took its temp after running a whole 7.4 v pack and the temp was around 150-160 degrees.... sould i swap to hard brushes and heavy springs??? Also it still doesn't wourk at first. thanks:yes:

ok yeah, those temps are well within acceptable limits. I don't know if different brushes or springs would help, I'm not very good with fixing electrics. I just know what problems I've seen personally. Basically it sounds like your lacking contact. What specifically is causing that I don't know.

Ok

well i use bullet connectors for everything, esc battery motor. thanks i will get a new motor prolly.. thank you any other tips about the pede that are useful?

I don't know anything about Stampedes. This is the first time you've mentioned what type of truck it is. I will however recommend switching all of your connectors to Deans Ultra. That's the standard around here.

they are cheap but before you do that, make sure your motor is really the problem, is it you esc? do you have a spare motor you can plug in and check? Or try brining it to your LHS they will have a used one handy you can
