Hey Guys,

I am having a problem with my Proline Road Rage tires, rolling lopsided, if that makes any sense? What is happening, is not the tires coming un-glued, but rather rolling off to one side. It only happens on the rear tires. The glue is holding the bead on, but the rest of the tire wants to roll to the inside, and deform the shape of the tire. Did I do something wrong during the mounting process? If so is it something I can correct, or am I just going to have to deal with it? Thanks guys.

You did remember to put the foam inside the tire, didn't you? I wonder if the foam has rolled.

Yes I did put the foam inside the tire. It is just agravating that it keeps rolling over every time I take the buggy out. If the foam is rolling over, is there a fix? Thanks guys.

try taking the glue off and putting new foams in that might work and if not then it probubly might be a problem with the tire so u might want to send them to proline and get a new set... but i bet it is the foams or the glue has come undone...

if you take the tires off to fix the foam then get some panther foams and do what beason said...I just keep rolling mine back to center....I only use em once in while when a friend wants to see if it's really that fast......I make a couple of passes and that's it.......I deal w/ the rolling......

Yeah Plaid, I think that is what I am going to do.... just deal with it. I don't run the buggy on the asphalt much so it is not worth taking the tires off and putting new foams in. I don't seem to have the problem on dirt.

So you have the same problems with road rage too Plaid? I guess the tire grips so well it just rolls right over.

yeah they do....I try to hit loose sandy patches and get it to drift.....when it hooks up I've traction rolled so hard the damn thing does a double kickflip in the air....SWEET.....I just look at people and say "I meant to do that".....

I had the same problems with my proline road rage for t-maxx rims on my savage. When I take a hard corner, the rubber sticks to the ground and the sidewall just shifts... then I turn the other way for a second and they go back.

I don't run them really anymore though.

for the maxx I use the 40 series on road...they're the only 40 series rims I have.....they break too easy for off road use...at least for me they do.....I gues wood wasn't meant to be slapped w/ a 30mph RC.....

That's a chronic problem with the road rage tires. I have a set with the stock foams and mine do the same thing. I haven't tried changing the foams, but I did get a set of the PRP rubber slicks and the foam slicks and I like those both much more than the road rages.

Some really stiff foams, maybe even foam rubber, might fix it. I'll give it a try with mine...

dxm if the shiffting really bothers you try the panther buggy foams...I know they will cure it....but most of us feel it's just not worth the hassle for the little amount we use the buggies on the road.....next set (at the rate i use the road tires will be in 2 years) will get better foams in them for sure.....

Yeah Plaid, that is my stand on it after reading your posts. I have no problems on dirt, cuz I can drift the car. I only use the road rages for tuning and to attract the neighbors... which works quite well actually. I only have to be out there for a few minutes and the neighbors come flying out to watch. Anyway, I think I will just wait for mine to wear and then get some new foams the next go around. Hey Plaid, do you use the 40 series bowties on dirt?

nah...I have standard size ones.....I tried a set of 40s w/ mashers and then w/ some mulchers I stretched onto the rims (BIG PITA by the way) they didn't like my driving style of wall riding the barriers and grinding the pipes and decided to break on me....both sets I had at least one failure of the rim.....so I went and got a set of RPM widestance rims and just use those for track wheels or standard Mashers for playin in the field......I got some HUGE OFNA wheels from Jesse G....but I haven't got a set of the hubs to use em yet.....they'll be cool to just set it on the shelf after I use it but I know changing hubs will get old fast......

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I got the 23mm hubs. I figured I would just change them out when I wanted to run the regular stock stuff. It is just a PITA, and now that they make standard size Maxx wheels for the 23mm hex its all good, I will just buy those from now on. I only have one set of wheels other than the stock stuff that is standard size so I am not out a whole lot of money.

Where did your 40's break? Did the centers break out, or did you just crack the wheel? I am just curious as to how they broke. Thanks Plaid! Good luck with the new place!
