I'd love to have one... but I think a big 20 gallon tank and a compressor in my office may be a bit offensive to my neighbors... dang apartment people!
I used to buy a case of compressed air before. Check your sunday paper as they can go on sale for about a buck and half per can. Great to have in the field when you don't want to bring your compressor to the track. Just use short controlled bursts mostly.

i got one and it is so useful. i can guarantee you that you wont regret it. you can airbrush, spraypaint, air nail, impact wrench, anything. it is just so useful to have. oh, did i forget to mention it blows dried up crud off your rigs?

When I was riding motocross a few years ago we used to spray bike with WD40 before every muddy meeting as when we got back and it was time to clean we didn't need a power washer as an ordinary hosepipe would do. The WD40 stopped the mud and crud from sticking and it also protected the electronics from water damage.
I adopted this practice when bashing my 8 t in mud and haven't looked back.
Wash it off with low pressure water,spray with WD40 to drive out any remaining water and airline dry after 10 mins.Must admit though, I have started to remove the radio tray before washing. :LoL:
Admittedly I would not spray it if it is being used in dry conditions as dust would stick to it

I am more in dust that anything, I have been to chicken to go through big mud puddles as the extent of cleaning I would have to do afterwards. Especially if you play in a clay field like I do. That stuff stains and is so hard to get off.
Having a compressor is definately a life saver. It has helped to so many things, I could never list them all. Pumps up bike tires and balls for the kids, helped tremendously to help build my real life rock crawler and fix all the others vehicles I have worked on, cleans the garage well with air, and even pumps up my kids inflatable pool!
As far as power washing (or washing with water in general) I think I still am going to watch my other friends do it for a while and see the outcome. I have noticed one of my friends who just started power washing for the first time had some running issues on both his rigs that he power washed last week.

I got a cool air compressor about a month ago from lowes. It was $200 bucks and well worth the money. PSI goes up to 150 which is plenty to blow my rig off and it sits upright which saves space. I don't have a garage so that was a big consideration.
