Hi from Australia,

I have a 1/8 scale nitro buggy which i bought from my local hobby shop and have had a break down every time i have used i. I also have a 1/10 scale Kyosho V one s 2 which has been unbreakable however the Power Racing Swift 1/8 scale has been a drama since i bought it.

Lots of fiddly things mostly however i have dropped a rear differential, with all of the gears stripped and the centre diff also became very loose around the same time.

The local hobby store advised that the parts supplier here in Australia is very difficult to get parts from. I have been fortunate enough to secure parts from the store demo which they now use as a wrecking vehicle. They advised me that they are no longer going to stock the vehicles as they are difficult to maintain parts for. please advise was the swift a success in the States

I know that you no longer sell the Swift in the states, but has it been a crap buggy or do you think i just got a lemon

first off there is a 1/8th buggy forum that this question is better suited for. but since I'm here...............

the swift had a small following here, but with much the same issues id imagine you have had, though most were simple fixes that were easy to perform. your dealer can now order parts through thier RDLogics supplier as parts for the SHO buggy. rdlogics bought the swift so the parts are interchangable. power racing has been supplying off of thier stash for some time now, and parts will probibly dry up soon if they havent already. this shouldnt be an issue for current owners though since RDLogics parts are readily available and 100% interchangable, they are still made by the same factory in china.

Thanks for the advice it has been helpful, i have followed the link.

nope, sorry, your still wrong. its only here by the help of a moderator.

Scott, If you've got a Swift, you've got to read the entire thread on this forum about it at https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26895. It not only explains what's going to break on your buggy, but also why and how to fix it.

I have a Swift, but its less and less a Swift everyday. Right now I have a Mugen fuel tank, Mugen CV shafts, Ofna Shocks, Ofna Engine, JR Steering servo, etc, etc.

If i were u and u can afford to, i would be repairing it to a going standard, and selling it on for as much as u can get, replace it with something else
