You had two members here chime in and offer to help you get the hole retapped for a very reasonable cost. Go with either one of them and be done with it.



So what was the point of this thread?

I meant within DRIVING distance, I'd rather not mail it.

The point was to ask for a solution to the problem of a stripped head screw. Once I saw that the performance of my mill wasn't affected enough to bug me, I didn't mind leaving it that way. However, I'll continue to look for a way to get it fixed, and if all else fails, I'll mail it to one of them.

I don't believe I said thanks for offering to fix it. Thanks.

Also, I'm sorry for my smarta** comments on some of my posts. I'm really not that kind of person in RL, I don't know why but I only get like that when I type stuff.
