I was driving my revo a few days ago and it was running fine, and then all of a sudden it stopped and wouldn't move. the engine would rev but wheels wouldn't move with any load on them. I took apart the tranny (the diffs are fine) and everything looked fine, but the one-way on one of the gears (part number 5393) seemed like it was bad because I could turn it in both directions on the gear. is this a common problem? I've never heard or seen this happen to anyone else... also, I found a small pin, like the one that goes in a wheel hex, just hanging out in my tranny and I can't figure out where it's supposed to go. I couldn't find it on the blown-up diagram in the revo's manual. any ideas?

thanks

I looked at it but couldn't find any place where that pin could go. guess I'll take another look at it when I get the chance...

thanks for the response.

happened on my tmaxx check the pin that goes into part# 4995 the head of the pin was still in the part on mine but broke in half allowing it to spin freely.

edit for the revo check part# 5390 / 5352

well I finally had the chance to go to my lhs today... turns out it wasn't the one-way, it was the pin that goes into one of the gears on the two speed that broke in half, which would explain why I found half a pin just hanging out inside the tranny. the lhs said that they had an updated gearset from traxxas, so I installed that, will probably try it out with tomorrow or the day after to see how it goes.

I'm havin problems to. i didnt get the chance to read this, so I'm not sure if the symptoms are the same.

but my truck has like this shifting out of gear point.
it would go. and upon down shifintg it would sort of shift out of gear, well it never shifted back.

so I'm now disassembling the tranny now. we'll see whats up. hopefully its just a pin and not a gear

edit:

looks like my OWB in the tranny is shot.

took off the gear holding the OWB, read the labeled side, says it locks going one way..stuck the shaft back through the OWB, spun it BOTh ways, no catch.

anyone got a part number for the OWB?

i can't seem to find it.

thanks a bunch

edit:

wow. so i went to go and clean the bearing out, sprayed it with WD-40 over the trash, got that done, ran a Q-tip through it, and one of the long slinder bearings slid out, i ended up losing it. i tried it on the shaft that its sopost ot catch on, and it catches now!

still wanting to replace it though.

so I'm running my revo. and it stopped. like it did when my one-way went.

so I'm thinking..oh my..

i have a real problem if it went out again.

so i tear the tranny down.

one way is good.

but my some of my gears have this crazy knick in them. so i do some further inspecting.

one of the pins that hold the gears from spinning on the shaft.
snapped er'

infact. it was the one for the smaller 2 speed gear.
