Hi,
I am translating Steve Slayden article "Traxxas Slayer Setup & Tuning Guide". Because english is not my primary languague, I need your help.
I do not understand to the following: "Toe-in can reduce sensitivity and help keep the front end planted, when this characteristic is needed."
The word PLANTED, all dictionary meanings are joined with garden action like: tree was planted. I can not imagine what Steve thought with it.
Can you please try to tell me the same sentence in other words?

This is the article link: Traxxas Slayer Setup & Tuning Guide Section "Toe Angle".

Thanks a lot.

I'll give it a shot.
Think of kicking a football with you right foot. As you get close to the ball you dig in or "Plant" your left foot and kick the ball with your right foot.
So your left foot is "planted" while you kick.
In terms of the car, if your front wheels are straight or "toe out" while turning, the front end can lose traction and slide or drift. "Toe in" helps with the traction or grip during corners and this adjustment keeps your car "planted" or not sliding or not drifting.

Thanks

Hi Dougrevo33,
great explanation. Now I understand well. Thank you very much.
