I got ganged upon by 4 members, not moderators, of a 17,000 plus member RC Flight Forum for saying Thanks.
I asked a question got a reply said Thanks.
2 days later and maybe 7 or 8 comments between got another more descriptive response and said I appreciate All the knowledge given to my question and did that cause a stir.
Oh yea I also put a link to a picture to better show why I asked my question in the first place and that was a no no too. Something to the effect of me taking up too much forum space with that 1 link.
Was I on the wrong forum period or just not in the COOL CROWD? It was only my 2nd post so no not alot of dumb questions that been asked and answered I searched first.
Would you rather your GOOD response go unaknowledged?
And no I wasn't on no ones nuts.
I really didn't take it too personal but obviuosly they thought I did something wrong in saying thanks.
So I figured I'd ask the more friendly people of rcnitrotalk to school me on forum etiquitte .
Please do and don't be shy I want to know what to and not to say, ask and/or post on a forum.
I hate to be shunned:hehe:

Nothing you did would be taken as a discourtesy here. We actually appreciate having members, especially newbies, thank us for our time and information. There's nothing better than knowing that they got their engine running RIGHT because of the information they got right here.
Just remember, they are not the only forum out there, but it sounds like it's poorly run when members bad mouth others for showing their appreciation.

We just bad mouth stupid people..... and we weed them out very quickly. The mods work closely with the members (both supporting and non) to get rid of the idiots around here.

Links to said thread.
I will show them what wasting board space is all about!

If not for you my Jato would of went up in flames a $600.00 ball of flames aint cool

Supporting Members? What does it cost I live on a fixed income BUT I didn't get as good results at LHS as I did from the guys on here and MAYBE I can afford to DONATE a few $$$ to RCNITROTALK so it can be there another day or 2 for me and others new to the hobby and looking for help OR jus looking for a place to vent about another forum:D

White Snake as good as that sounds... Thanks for having my back
