Yep, as does having soldering experience. I am at pro level when it comes to soldering, so I tend to expect people new to all this to overdo it. That's why I always suggest light first. Your experience makes a big difference.

Well I opened the box and the plastic case it comes in was smashed. It was packaged that way because none of the broken bits were in the package. If they were I could have tried out the plastic welder on it's own case! 🤣

Those are just vent holes. They're designed that way to prevent explosions from a build up of gas.

Got to use my staple welder today. Fixed my Recycling Bin. Good thing too, the lid was just about to let go. Worked great! It was kind of fun too as long as you don't breath in the toxic fumes. 🤣
