hey guys i was wondering if anyone upgraded to aluminum bellcranks? Because i broke my plastic ones today when my uncle drove his buggy goin 70 mph into it and boom they broke so i was wondering aluminum or plastic.

The posts are aluminum.

I would say stick with the plastic, they are cheap to replace, and while you have them out, replace the bushings with bearings.

Where is a good place to get the bearings. Are they a Traxxas part number or aftermarket produced.

You will need 4 bearings to replace the bushings in the bellcranks.

The size of the bearings are 5x8x2.5mm. Traxxas sells them for $8 bucks and you can find them elsewhere also.

If your going to spend 15-20.00 to fix/upgrade your steering, its a good upgrade to spend 39.00 and get the ProLine servo saver.

It will save you time and money in the long run.

Yes, the Pro-line kit is A LOT better than the stock set up. No need for further explanation.

the proline kit lets you take away that servo saver because it uses a servo saver similar to 1/8 scale buggies...it's an adjustable spring tension on the bellcrank post...you then use an aluminum servo horn and you will minimize (greatly) your front wheels from wandering too much......
Like RC said...It's just better...

I had the pro-line one as well. Much smoother due to the bearings and the servo saver was more solid than those ones that mount right on the servo. It made the steering much more responsive and less mushy.
