Piston and Sleeve

Heya, before you take the motor apart to have it rebuilt, how do you know it needs it?? turn the flywheel by hand and see how much resistance it has to you turning it. I can't remember which way you should turn it, one way it might not turn, the other it will( I dont think that the motor has a one way bearing on it) If it takes hella effort to turn over, and makes a resounding pop out of the exhaust, Id leave her alone and run it. If it stalls when you let off the gas, and the temps are low, then consider rebuilding the motor. I know my motor is very happy with running 200* all day long running o'Donnel 30%

yeah it's kind of easy to turn....by the way it's my bro's so not to get confused with my sadness of lack of ride time i have expressed in other threads currently active...i was getting frustrated with stuff we bought used like this and just wanted to get a new piston and sleeve so i won't have to worry about engine starting problems before they even started....

A worn engine will start with minimal effort, the problem comes when it warms up. Leave it alone for now, and go bash the car

bash? lol i would be happy to get the thing rolling for longer than 5 minutes without breaking something randomly like my rusty....oh god it's like a drug i cannot stop if i wanted to...

if you can get this motor to start, I def. think it will hold together more than 5 minutes. I have jumped mine many times, with not so picture perfect landings.... no complaints yet. (aside from the batter pack flying off) Thank god for throttle return springs!!
