I have been lookin for a relativly cheep .10, .12 or a .15 piston and sleeve/w con rod. I have looked at Tower, Hobby people, Stormer, and a few others. The lowest cost I have seen so far is about 35.00. I would like to know if anyone here knows where to find some at a low cost. I am not real concerned about the name or brand of the set, as long as it is a complete set, so far.

I don't think your going to find much cheaper. In some cases getting a piston, sleeve and rod will cost you as much as just buying a new cheap engine.

The lowest piston/sleeve combo i found on Tower is $19.99... Then a rod is 9.99.. this is all duratrax stuff.

What are you planning on using this for? Or are you just searching for an engine that is cheap to rebuild?

MMMM I am goin to use them for making my own engine block? or somthing.

Steve

just so you know, you can't just drop any old brand piston/sleeve in any engine you want. it just doesn't work that way. also the duratrax p/s sets are junk. cheapest semi-quality set you will find will probibly be an OS or megatech.

that explains why they are so cheap, I was wondering about that. Thanks, now I have 2 reasons to replace the motors rather than rebuild them. :flamer:

I am aware that you can not just drop any ol sleeve and piston into any engine. I have other plans for the sleeve and piston's. I was just askin if anyone knew of other places that might sell them cheeply, but a lil better quality is always best.
