well, i dont know what these things are called, so i call them pins. i started up my savage today, first time after losing some parts, and a pin fell out.

it was one of those. when i bought the truck, a few pins came with it that look like that. however, i measured them and they are longer, but the other dimensions fit. i can't get the skinny part of the ones i have through the thing in the tranny, and the screw part does not fit the screw hole. it came out of the rear of the tranny, the thing that has the brakes around it. it does have the duel disk mod, would this make it need a different size? i'm pretty sure its the same dimensions other than the length, and it wont fit through, do i buy these and hope"? or will they fit?

You really, really need to reference the manual. If you do not have one, visit HPI's web site and download it. The manual will give you the exact part number you need.

i looked up the part number, i just didnt know if it was different since he did the duel disk mod. the thing in the manueal doesn't look the same.

Considering the dual disk brake set doesn't come with it, it would stand to reason the one that's on the parts explosion would work with the dual brake kit.

I don't see one listed with this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFYL2&P=Z

I just downloaded the Dual Brake Disk installation instructions. It says it uses the part from the truck, which is part # 86094 which is what you linked to up above.

The stock single disk brake is the top, the dual disk upgrade is the bottom. Both show the 86094 pin is bing used.
