Diver::: Yes she's a talker. wolf whistles, the microwave, car alarm, back up siren for the car, squeaking of the cabinets, clucks like a chicken, meows, barks, farts, sneezes, coughs ...

Thats so cool, My old neighbor in Chicago had a Af Gray,, It could swear like a ripped off whore, he would be gone all day at work, when he would get home the bird would actually mimmick all the answering machine messeges, it knew the whole greeting word for word, I always said If I got a bird it would be an af gray, I have heard when you get tham as babies you can't teach them to talk like crazy but since they are so smart they learn to mimmick noises like yours does, his also farted, meowed like a cat,barked,
made door slamming sounds, all sorts of poop , that bird was amazing! I may still get one someday!

NM, it's funny hearing this bird talk ...she has a small vocabulary of Filipino curses but we made sure she would have a semi clean vocabulary. She has a vocabulary of a 4 year old. I wish I could list all her sounds and words but I just think hearing her do that car alarm is hilarious. Some car alarm kept going off all day and that's all it took. She was mimicking it the next day. She will follow not only the words you teach her, but also the tone of the person saying it! BTW, these are more of a conversaional bird instead of a mimicking bird. She answers to cues but also can identify what to say or do according to situation. Other parrots mainly mimic and say things randomly.

My dad came into my apartment one day and was calling for me. I didn't answer becuse I thought it was the bird. By the time I answered my dad was kinda pissed but he understood why I wasn't answering when the bird started calling me too. She will say something but say it 3 different ways because 3 different people say it. She will also dance in her cage when she see's me.

They are wonderful pets and I would recomend them to anyone with the patience to deal with them. They are perpetual 5 year olds with matching attitudes. As far as teaching them to talk, all of them have the ability to do it but the ones that start earlier have a larger vocabulary. I would also suggest to get them from the breader and not a pet store. Pet store birds are more stressed and full of bad habits. Also more expensive. My brother paid about $900 for her and another $400 for the cage.

Funny since the bird has a stronger bond with me. BTW, she's jealous of my wife. She'll scream like a stuck pig when she hugs me or does anything near me.

Yeah, I know how that is too, My sister has a conyer, when my nephew is playing with it she or any one else can't come near him, I have heard that a once a bird bonds with some one thats it,,I have also heard that most birds will bond with males before females.
