Thanks M8, it is really cool, it's a valid time capsule straight from the 80s, that Lemans motor is also new and never used and they go for a pretty penny now-I told the seller he could get way more online for it, but he wanted it to go to someone semi local who would take care of it and build it down the road.

Ha This is Tater, she was a rescue from our local shelter, she was the runt and in bad shape of a litter of 6, we've had her since the end of August and she's about 6 months old.

Oh wow! That is FANTASTIC!!!
I built mine new from box back in 85ish.
I can still remember the smell of the tires and how insanely tight that motor snaps as it spins!!!
I am SO HAPPY you ended up with this instead of a reseller online!!!

Do this baby justice!!!

Will you keep it a chain drive or is there a conversion kit un those boxes and bags that I managed to miss?

Thank you very much Mike, I think I'm going to keep it chaindrive, but there is a belt kit for it-I built a regular optima in 90 I believe so it brings back memories for me too my friend, I love it!!

I really don't remember installing it but mine has the belt conversion as well.
The chain is great! I can't wait to see this one! So many memories!!!

Kyosho does RULE ....great find....I remember that one and the Javelin....they were top dogs back in day....sorry Tater....I'm allergic to cats as well but still love em....all mechanical chain drive....way ahead of everybody else

Thank you guys it is just a wild to find one in this condition love the community here as we have similar experiences and memories of RC while growing up, building these kits as a young dude really helped me in the career fields I followed as I grew and matured-that's what I am trying to teach my son as well.
