Well yesterday I picked up a nitro rustler. It was in pieces! So I put it together. Had an .18 hpi motor. Had to dremel the motor mount to make it fit. It was missing linkages,tx/rx,muffler and battery box. I figured it would be a decent project but a buddy of mine just "had to have it" anyway long story short he had a hpi savage .25 that needs a servo and muffler. So I traded him. Now I got myself a new project!

Keep it nitro???? Flux conversion??? What do people get out of a .25 motor? It has good compression.

Also this is my very first savage!

I think the flux's are just badass!!! Any ideas on what I could get out of this .25?

Id keep it nitro myself but if you do an E conversion on it then the engine probably wont sell for much. I bought a brand new K.28 for my Savy for around $115 new on ebay back in the spring.

I thought about running it as a nitro untill it dies then converting it.

I wouldnt change the .25 savage into BL.. too much to upgrade, need new diffs, tranny, tvps, motor plate, battery boxes, I would upgrade the bulks for easy diff access, upgraded bearings from fast eddy(not a necessity), ESC, Motor, Batteries, I'm sure I'm missing some parts here.. but there are many posts on conversions. just search

wow thats in great condition! Honestly, I'd leave it as is. I love nitro and I love my S-25 engine in my savage.

I think the ease of use with the flux's is awesome and everything but I love the engine whine and RPM growth with speed. I just think it's cooler.

Now, if I were to buy new right now, I would have a tough time deciding nitro or flux. But the conversion I think is just too costly

Well I also thought about selling this savage and my rustler vxl. I want a scx10. I've been wanting one for about a yr now. But idk what I'm going to do yet.

Converting that to a flux would cost more than just buying a flux brand new. The only savage that is really feasible to convert to a flux is the XL due to it already have a virtually bulletproof driveline. The XL and flux actually share almost their entire drive line except for the rear center dogbone.

I've got other stuff id like to do to my rusty vxl. Ill probably end up selling this savage. I've put it on cl. But its a make offer. I dont know what these things run price wish. Or what to expect
