Got another one of those spoof e-mails from Paypal stating the usual crap about my account needing to be verified and the other typical bullshit, however, this one addressed me by name! First time I have seen that. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

I got the same email. The graphics in the body of the email looked pretty good. The grammar and spelling was also correct, unlike most of the phishing emails I recieve.

This is why it is so important to never ever answer any email ebay or paypal sends out..
Why? Because Ebay and Paypal will never address any issues through Email. They do it directly through your account.NOT EMAIL!
The only Email you will get from them is A confirmation of receipt of payment or bid.

True. All correspondence with them they always address you by name and they never ask for you to verify info. Always use your own bookmark or type in the address directly and check your account that way. I always forward this crap to [email protected] or [email protected] Hey Dom, are you selling stuff anywhere else? I'd be interested in seeing if anyone else that has items for sale specifying paypal as preferred payment get one of these.

I'm so sick of getting those "Thanks for the awesome item, where should I send payment to?" BS emails... They are so annoying.

i received one as well, the way i knew it was they sent it to an address that doesn't have a paypal account setup on it... dumbasses..... lol

I sell stuff here, ebay, and an item or two on rctech. Though on rctech I have never publicly revealed my paypal address.

Like SD I have never revealed my pp addy or my ebay name/addy and I don't get spam/phising emails. I do get them at my old ebay/pp email addys, but since I've switched I dont' get them.
