PCR Pro Problems for me

Are you having the same issues with the engine off or only when the engine is running?

Does this happen to other RCs using the same equipment?

Is your TX antenna screwed all the way in? Just a quick thing to check.

ok well I did swap out the antenna for the replacement one since it came in black. I did use the TX on my MGT but didn't see the problems. THis receiver is actually seeing life for the first time on the pcr pro. Pretty annoying.

Bring it with you to the bash.
I'm sure with it in hand, the 5 of us will be able to put our heads together and resolve this issue.

LOL 5 heads better then one huh? I hope I can get to it before then . I want to be bashing then wrenching. But I will keep that in mind. Thanks Ed

try your spare reciever, and did you bypass the switch like i suggested? before you pull your novak just try plugging the servos into the spare Rx and ziptie it to the car somewhere for a quick try. also try removing your throttle arm, and using a rubberband to hold the throttle at idle. start it up with the radio system on and look to see if your servos are glitching. you can manually pull the throttle open to rev it up and see how the servo's react. if they are glitching only when the engine is on, you have metal to metal rubbing or excessive vibration somewhere that you need to track down. got any pics of the car? maybe we can see a vibration or rub spot that you havent thought of yet.
Good advice, Like the rubber band idea hadnt thought of that.

Ok Update:

well I took out the RX layed everything out while the car was on. I disconnected the throttle Servo connection and it seemed like there were no glitches. I even took the RX off the cover and placed it in the box like normal. After noticing no glitching I put everything back as it was. How cool was it to test and no glitches huh?

WRONG. It started to glitch again. It started when I was clearing the engine out. Now I am going to try the Original RX.R135 and see what happens.

WTF!!

make sure your power wires for the radio system are as far from the Rx antenna as possible. its sounds as if you found the problem, now you just have to fix it. your receiver isnt liking being crowded in your receiver box too much. do what you can to clean up your wiring and give it some space. use some cable ties, not twisties they're metal, and some adhesive foam to keep things well organized. you may even have a bad throttle servo. I've seen one servo that can cause the whole system to glitch already. try replacing that too.

i'm not sure this thread date but if the problem hasn/t been fixed ....take a look at the wires where they leave the battery box and go under the servo tray....the lid on my pcr pinched one of my wires there and worked itself almost into....it caused a runaway and also burned out my new steering servos(hitec 645mg....) that was only a week old....

also if you have the spring mounted antenna like the storms have...make sure the antenna wire isn't bare and touching it....all i can think of....

hope this helps....

Sorry everyone but I put my stock RX R135 and Voila! problem solved. I have contacted Team Novak and I might send it in to fis it for 25 bux. Still pondering that one.

if its a brand new receiver id want it fixed for free, otherwise return it where you bought it and change brands. trying to charge you $25 to fix a brand new receiver is just plain stupid.

Glad you found your problem. On my H7, a chassis screw under the receiver pack was rubbing on the pack and caused a short. I suggest removing that screw and cutting it shorter to prevent this problem. Good Luck!
