I have ALWAYS smoked outside. My daughter never grew up in a smoke-filled house, and my responsibility goes one step further - I carry a round spring-loaded "pocket ashtray" everywhere I go, all my butts go in that.

Littering sucks ass too.
I need to get one of those spring loaded ashtrays for when I race. Too much fuel around for a nonextinguished butt to ignite.

As for respect to others, i agree. I would rather go outside than fill up a room full of smoke. Here at my house, there's no smoking allowed so I usually go outside but in the winter it's too damn cold so I stand with my face and cigarette inches away from the exhaust fan in the kitchen for when I need a quick fix.

I started because I thought my step sister was so cool...she let me smoke when she'd babysit me at like 10.....sick beotch.....and it was easier to give me a smoke than fix dinner.....I really started smoking when I was 14 and smoked until I was 21...I realized I spent more time smoking than skating when I was out.....I stopped for me and Only me...I don't care if anyone else smokes and if it's in a large enough area go ahead light it up...in fact I have friends I let smoke in my car, just keep the window down...but I would never and have never sat in any enclosed area and puffed smoke in a kids lungs..that's just stupid...more stupid than a 15 year old step sister giving a 10 year old a smoke...at least she can blame it on youth this butthead you have doing it to your kids can't even use that excuse.......or any for that matter.....what did he say when you showed him dr. letters? how did he rationalize that?

Just FYI jon that wasn't directed at you - just a general observation.
thanks I know you were just saying it in general. Since you said I wanted to say my view on Ex-Smokers. Thanks for the clarification!!

DAMN, I gotta keep away from you guys! Too many "Diver" stories floating around. First the reamer story, now the BBQ story. I practically forgot about that one till now.

I too quit for myself so I could be here longer for my kids and having a 4yr old almost in tears asking you to quit had something to do with that. rocknbil I dont look down on people cause they smoke that is there decision but when it effects my kids health than I have a serious problem. Plaid he read the note and probally diddnt mean much to him just someone else telling him what to do thats just the way he is and hes night the brightest person in the world either. He has actully called here at my house and asked me if we where home lmao I was like well what do you think? He stayed quiet and said oh um yeah? He wanted to bring the kids home early. Right now I'm flat broke, I'm sure many of you have heard of my car accident that has put me out of comission. So when we get some settelment money we will be taken dumbass to court.
Anyway thank you all for listening to me blow off some steam I appreciate it :)

well, do you at least collect child support from him? a nice twist would be to use that money to hire a lawyer.

Yeah we do only 350 a month for 2 kids and right now I have very little income so we need that money just to get by, hopefully I will have surgery on my back and will be able to get my lazy butt back to work :) full time

They need to make tobacco illegal, and legalize, umm, something else they can tax to CHILL people instead of KILL people :)

or they could just ban it all!
More laws are not the answer...accountability is....stop letting the courts make laws and let them use the current ones (or even better the original ones) and actuallly JUDGE each case w/ all the information available at that time....stop rubber stamping poop through the system......I say make it all legal and if you want to kill yourself on crack...by all means go have a ball but keeo it in "tolerated areas" like they do amsterdam and BC.........I think in todays world if you really want to do that crap you should have the option of doing whatever you want to your body.....we spend trillions of dollars every year housing people for drug abuse....we are an educated society.....if you want to do that crap you know what you're asking for.......hell you can't even kill yourself w/o breaking a law...that's stupid......my body .....my life .....my decision....just my :2cents:

IMO you can't fix one negative with another negative. and no it isn't like multiplying neg X neg = positive. More like addition, add two negatives and you still get a negative.

Anyways, I thought legalizing weed would be cool because it would take away the challenge of getting away with doing something illegal.

If they did legalize I would think there would be more people with imparied judgement in public. The worst part of it is unlike drinking in public that won't affect anyone else around them if they drink, Weed would give anyone around them a contact high.

Bad Idea.

I sometimes have my break at 420 still very rarely anymore...I just don't see what the fuss over it is....I wouldn't want to see people walking down the street smokin weed or any thing like that but C'mon...if alcohol can be legal why can't other substances be.....what noone can get addicted to alcohol?!?!?! it doesn't destroy your body????? or make you do crazy things?????? I guess someone needs to shut down all the AA meetings in America cause they are obviously frauds......I'm not chewin on you corrado...I just have very strong opinions on our gov saying one thing is OK and these other things aren't when really the one is just as bad if not worse than some of the illegal substances......I don't get the whole group of people suing cigarette companies for them getting sick.....WTF, they couldn't read?!?!?! were they forced to suck down the tobacco???? NO.....accountability for your own actions....we are deprived of this every day by someone passing laws to protect us from ourselves.....OH you mean I wasn't supposed to use my lawn mower to trim the tops of my hedges?!?!?!? there was no warning on the Lawn mower, How was I supposed to know that???......how far does that crap need to go before all of our rights are gone?.....just food for thought..

some places are passing an idiot law.. if you wreck and its cause your an idiot you get fined or if they have to rescue you after you did something stupid you get charged.. like driving your car across a flooded bridge.. or driving around construction baricades..

that's cool...I can agree to that.....I used to go to Whistler in BC to go Snowboarding in th e back bowls...a few times we got scared we'd need to get rescued...but the guys we went with knew their poop and we managed...if I had to call rescue I'd fully expect to get a bill....it would suck but if I went out there unpreparred then I deserve it.....

Really amazes me that people still smoke (no offense to anyone who does). My Dad ended up dying from a heart attack partly from his 300 lbs and partly because when he quit drinking he picked up smoking instead.

I always told him... if you're going to kill yourself... I like the smoking way (as opposed to drinking) better because at least you're a nice guy when you smoke :)

The thing that tells me how addictive it is... is that my dad was a genius (I mean MENSA smart) and he tried to tell me people we're making too big of a deal about how dangerous the habit was. HOLY CRAP!

Anyway, good luck with your Kids and the EX. Seems like she's another one in denial of how bad the stuff is...

Alex
