Well not to be argumentive but this is a result of social paranoia. There are very few "would-be dopers" who stay away from it because it's illegal, that negative motivation is barely more than a ticket in most states. So you'd have the same number of people toking it up as you do right now, there would just be less of them passing through our legal system (and costing us taxpayer money.) As for being in public - it's likely that public stone-edness would carry the same penalty as public drunkeness. But the effects of marijuana don't bring people out much.

The laws surrounding marijuana legislation . . . I think is a waste of our money, we have far larger battles to fight.

I sometimes have my break at 420 still very rarely anymore...I just don't see what the fuss over it is....I wouldn't want to see people walking down the street smokin weed or any thing like that but C'mon...if alcohol can be legal why can't other substances be.....what noone can get addicted to alcohol?!?!?! it doesn't destroy your body????? or make you do crazy things?????? I guess someone needs to shut down all the AA meetings in America cause they are obviously frauds......I'm not chewin on you corrado...I just have very strong opinions on our gov saying one thing is OK and these other things aren't when really the one is just as bad if not worse than some of the illegal substances......I don't get the whole group of people suing cigarette companies for them getting sick.....WTF, they couldn't read?!?!?! were they forced to suck down the tobacco???? belive it or not plaid, i agree with you, i think it should be legalized and controlled with laws very similar to alchohol. if you go back and read the statement that started all this, you will see that it was a very "teenager" statement. with nothing other than personal desire behind it. which is the only reason i attacked it.

at any rate, this thread is about how to keep kids out of a house filled with second hand smoke. I'm sure we're on a bad roll here with discussion of illegal drugs and nobody wants to go on vacation over something as silly as that.
